Customs Revises Factory Stuffing Permission Process for Exporters; Approval Now on Post-Verification Basis at JN Customs House.
The Commissioner of Customs at Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House has revised the procedure for granting factory stuffing permission for export goods. Effective immediately, permissions will be issued on a post-verification basis, allowing exporters to receive approval based on submitted applications and documents without waiting for verification reports from Central Excise authorities. Verification requests will be sent concurrently to these authorities. If the verification report later reveals non-existence of the firm at the provided address or raises objections due to issues like accessibility or infrastructure, the granted permission will be revoked. This change applies to all exporter categories.
