of <h1>Customs Office Designates ICD Valvada for EPCG Scheme Imports/Exports with Conditions; Effective Immediately.</h1> The circular issued by the Customs Office specifies the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Valvada, Umbergaon, Valsad for the clearance of imported and exported goods under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme. It highlights that the ICD Valvada, not originally included in Notification 97/2004-Customs, can now be used for imports and exports under certain conditions. These include assessments by an officer of at least Assistant/Deputy Commissioner rank, specific endorsements, sample testing of synthetic textiles, selective weight testing, and advance submission of shipping documents. The notice is effective immediately and is to be publicized by trade associations.
