of <h1>E-payment of customs duties now available in Ahmedabad via ICEGATE; streamlines processes, no extra cost. Starts Oct 5, 2007.</h1> The circular outlines the procedure for e-payment of customs duties under the Indian Customs EDI system at the Inland Container Depot and Air Cargo Complex in Ahmedabad. Importers can now pay customs duties via net banking through the Bank of Baroda without extra cost, expediting customs clearance. The existing physical payment system remains, but e-payment is introduced as an additional option. Importers must have an internet account with the Bank of Baroda and can use the ICEGATE portal for transactions. The e-payment facility starts on October 5, 2007, and aims to streamline customs processes.
