of <h1>Ahmedabad Customs Launches Risk Management System for DEPB Import Clearances; Electronic Filing Required from May 23, 2007.</h1> The Customs Office in Ahmedabad has announced the implementation of a Risk Management System (RMS) for import clearances under the Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) Scheme, effective from May 23, 2007. Importers and Custom House Agents must file Bills of Entry electronically, providing DEPB license details for processing by the RMS. If facilitated by the RMS, the system will handle duty assessments and debit endorsements automatically, eliminating manual endorsements. For non-facilitated entries, existing procedures remain unchanged. Amendments to submitted entries require written justification. Any issues can be addressed by contacting the Additional Commissioner of Customs.
