of <h1>Import Items Now Allowed: Clear Without License if Bill of Entry Filed After 16th Jan 2009, Per Notification No.81.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has clarified the importability of items previously restricted but now allowed under Notification No.81 dated 16th January 2009. Import consignments of such items, brought in between 21st November 2008 and 16th January 2009, can be cleared without a license if the Bill of Entry was filed on or after 16th January 2009. This directive, approved by the competent authority, applies to all licensing authorities and customs commissioners, ensuring smooth clearance of affected consignments.
