of <h1>Online License Transmission Begins for DES, EPCG, and DEPB at ICD Maliwada; Effective July 10, 2010.</h1> The circular announces the operationalization of online transmission of licenses and authorizations under the Duty Exemption Scheme (DES), Export Promotion Capital Goods Scheme (EPCG), and DEPB licenses between Customs and the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) at the ICD Maliwada. Effective from July 10, 2010, licenses issued by DGFT post-March 1, 2009, will be automatically available in the Customs EDI System (ICES 1.5). Exporters and importers must quote their license numbers when filing relevant documents. The circular outlines procedures for licenses issued before the implementation date and clarifies the process for DEPB licenses.
