of <h1>Indian Customs EDI System ICES 1.5 Launches at Thar Dry Port Sanand for Centralized Export Processing on May 10, 2010.</h1> The Indian Customs EDI System (ICES 1.5) for exports will be implemented at the Inland Container Depot (ICD) - The Thar Dry Port, Sanand, starting May 10, 2010. This system, developed by NIC and integrated by TCS, will centralize the processing of various shipping bill categories. Exporters, importers, and related parties must register their Import Export Codes, Custom House Agents, shipping lines, and bank accounts in the ICES 1.5 system. The process includes electronic filing of shipping bills, data entry fees, and procedures for amendments, queries, and grievances. The system facilitates the processing of duty-free, dutiable, and drawback shipping bills, among others, and supports online transmission of licenses for export schemes.
