of <h1>Income Tax Department undergoes Cadre Review and Restructuring; stakeholders invited to submit suggestions by February 16, 2009.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has initiated a Cadre Review and Restructuring process for the Income Tax Department, following recommendations from the 6th Central Pay Commission. A committee has been formed to conduct this review, with a report due by mid-March 2009. To ensure comprehensive input, suggestions are invited from departmental stakeholders, including individual employees, on various aspects such as the department's strategic vision, organizational structure, and functioning of different setups. Suggestions should be submitted via email by February 16, 2009, for consideration in the final report.
