of <h1>Customs Sets June 30, 2013, as Deadline for Drawback Clearance; Special Cell Established for Pending Shipping Bills.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has designated the period up to June 30, 2013, as the Drawback clearance period. A Special Drawback Cell has been established under a Nodal Officer at the Custom House in Tuticorin to address pending shipping bills. Exporters, customs brokers, and trade members are urged to comply promptly to expedite Drawback Claims. Shipping bills pending for over a year will be processed using default values for drawback serial numbers, freight, insurance, and hanger values without waiting for exporter responses. Any difficulties should be reported to the Nodal Officer.
