of <h1>New Amendments to SION for Engineering Products: Revised Import Norms for Aluminum Scrap and Ingot Under FTP 2004-09.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has issued Public Notice No. 136/2008, dated January 15, 2009, amending the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for engineering products under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. The amendments pertain to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 2, 2004-2009, with specific changes detailed in Annexure 'A.' The norm for aluminum/aluminum alloy cast articles, including parts and components, has been revised. The import quantity for aluminum scrap is set at 1.10 kg per kg of aluminum content, and for aluminum ingot or relevant alloy ingot, it is 1.06 kg per kg of aluminum content in the export product.
