of <h1>Customs Launches Initiative to Resolve Backlog of Bond Assessments; Importers Must Submit Documents for Review.</h1> A special initiative is being launched to address the backlog of provisional assessments related to P. D. Bonds, Test Bonds, End use Bonds, and similar matters. This drive will occur in September and October 2013. Importers and Customs Brokers must provide necessary documentation to the Deputy or Assistant Commissioners of Customs for finalization or cancellation of pending bonds. Any discrepancies or queries identified during document review will be communicated within six days, and responses are required within five days. Once verified, the bond will be canceled and returned within two days.
