JNCH Updates Export Procedure: Declare CFS on Shipping Bill, Approval Required for Changes at Carting Time.
The procedure for export assessment and examination at Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH) has been updated to improve regulation and reduce disputes. Exporters of Full Container Load (FCL) cargo must now manually declare the Container Freight Station (CFS) on the shipping bill checklist during assessment. If changes to the declared CFS are needed at carting time, they must be approved by the Assistant Commissioner/Deputy Commissioner (AC/DC) shed. The Superintendent and AC/DC will ensure that the goods are carted and examined at the declared CFS. Any issues with this notice should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs (Export).
