of <h1>ICEGATE Scanning Delays Cause Port Congestion; Auto-Generated Lists Aim to Improve Container Movement Efficiency.</h1> Delays in generating scanning lists from ICEGATE are causing import container movement delays and port congestion. To address this, scanning lists are auto-generated after the Shipping Agents file the IGM and register entry inward. If delays persist beyond eight hours, containers may move to Container Freight Stations (CFS) to prevent congestion. If the scanning list is generated later, containers under scan hold must return for scanning. After 24 hours, most containers can be examined and cleared by Docks Staff, except those from Pakistan and HMS containers, which require specific scanning and examination procedures. Compliance with these procedures is mandatory.
