New DGFT Rule: EO Period for Advance Authorisation Starts from Issue Date; Appendix 30A Lists Input Restrictions.
The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Duty Exemption/Remission Scheme regarding the Export Obligation (EO) period and its extension, introducing a new Appendix 30A. The EO period for Advance Authorisation will now start from the authorisation issue date and must be fulfilled within 24 months, with specific conditions for projects under the Deemed Export category. Extensions are not allowed for authorisations involving inputs listed in Appendix 30A. The previous restriction on extending the EO period for penicillin, its salts, and certain spices has been removed. Appendix 30A details the EO periods for specific inputs, such as spices, drugs, and coconut oil.
