The Supreme Court has stressed the need for strict enforcement of laws against overloading. Exporters are advised not to overload vehicles carrying export cargo to and from the ICD/CFS. Custodians and importers must ensure vehicles do not exceed the permissible weight as per their Registration Certificates. The Traffic Manager at V.O.C. Port Trust is tasked with verifying vehicle loads to prevent violations of the Motor Vehicles Act.
