of <h1>Mumbai Customs Appoints New Custodian for Import/Export Cargo, Including Diamonds, Under Customs Act, 1962, Until 2018.</h1> The Commissioner of Customs in Mumbai has appointed a company as the Custodian (Custom Cargo Service Provider) for handling import and export cargo, including diamonds, precious stones, jewelry, and other specified items, under the Customs Act, 1962 and related regulations. This appointment is valid for two years until January 20, 2018. The Custodian must comply with all relevant customs laws and regulations, pay any customs duties on unaccounted goods, and store goods in designated areas at the Air Cargo Complex in Sahar, Mumbai.
