of <h1>Mumbai Customs Appoints MIAPL as Custodian for Air Cargo at Sahar Under Customs Act Sections 45(1) & 141(2.</h1> Under the authority of Sections 45(1) and 141(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, the Commissioner of Customs in Mumbai has appointed Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. (MIAPL) as the Custodian of cargo at the Air Cargo Complex, Sahar, Andheri, Mumbai. MIAPL is responsible for the safe custody of imported and exported cargo until clearance. The appointment is subject to compliance with relevant Customs Act provisions and regulations, including paying customs duties on unaccounted goods. The designated storage areas are specified, and the appointment is valid for five years until December 31, 2020, superseding previous notifications.
