Required documents include VAT/Sales Tax Registration, bank certification, proof of payment, previous year's balance sheet, and tax returns. These documents must be provided to the Assessing Officer or relevant officer for clearance. Importers facing difficulties in providing these documents may seek exceptions from the Additional Commissioner. Verification procedures conducted in one customs zone will be accepted in others to avoid repetition.
