of <h1>FSSAI Appoints Authorized Officer at Kandla Port for Food Import Safety u/s 47(5) of the 2006 Act.</h1> The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has designated an Authorized Officer for Kandla Port under Section 47(5) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. This appointment is in line with the FSSAI's mandate to ensure the safety of imported food items. The appointed officer, a superintendent from the Customs Kandla Commissionerate, is responsible for overseeing the clearance of imported food at Kandla Port. This notification is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice. Contact details for the Authorized Officer are provided for communication purposes.
