of <h1>Chennai IV Commissionerate Launches 24/7 Customs Clearance for Select Imports/Exports Starting March 5, 2015.</h1> The circular announces the implementation of 24/7 Customs clearance operations for specific import and export categories at designated Container Freight Stations and Inland Container Depots under Chennai IV Commissionerate, effective from March 5, 2015. The initiative follows guidelines from the Central Board of Excise and Customs and aims to facilitate trade by allowing round-the-clock processing of RMS-facilitated imports and factory-stuffed export containers. Importers, exporters, and customs brokers must ensure compliance with necessary clearances before approaching stationed Customs Officers for registration and clearance. Infrastructure support and officer rotations will be managed to support this service.
