To alleviate this issue, the responsibility for generating EDD Challans will also be assigned to Appraisers from the Special Valuation Branch (SVB) and EDI, allowing for a centralized approach irrespective of the group. This change aims to streamline the process and reduce assessment delays. Any difficulties in implementing this notice should be reported to the Commissioner of Customs at Nhava Sheva.
