of <h1>DGFT Sets June 20, 2009, Deadline for Current Year SFIS Applications; Previous Year Deadline is June 30, 2009.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has set a deadline of June 20, 2009, for the Service Exports from India Scheme (SFIS) for the current financial year, as per Public Notice No. 119 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated December 24, 2008. Amendments to the Handbook of Procedures specify that for the SFIS of the previous financial year, the deadline is June 30, 2009, while for the current financial year, it is 12 months from the end of the application frequency period. These changes are made under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 for public interest.
