of <h1>Import Restrictions Tightened for Exim Codes 5402 44 00 and 5402 47 00 to Prevent Mis-declaration.</h1> The import policy for items under Exim Code 5402 44 00 (Elastomeric) and 5402 47 00 (Other, of polyesters) has been restricted as per Notification No. 64 (RE-2008) dated November 24, 2008. Reports indicate that these items are being mis-declared and imported without restriction. All licensing authorities and customs commissioners are instructed to strictly enforce the import policy and prevent the incorrect classification of these items. This directive is issued with the approval of the competent authority.
