<h1>RBI Lowers Daily Minimum Cash Reserve Ratio to 90% for Banks from April 16, 2016, Easing Liquidity Requirements.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India has announced a change in the daily minimum cash reserve maintenance requirement for banks. Effective from April 16, 2016, the minimum daily maintenance of the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) will be reduced from 95% to 90% of the required level. This change applies to all scheduled commercial banks, regional rural banks, scheduled primary (urban) co-operative banks, and scheduled state co-operative banks. This adjustment follows the First Bi-Monthly Monetary Policy Statement for 2016-17.
