of <h1>Textiles Committee Authorized to Issue Certificates of Origin for 11 Trade Agreements, Listed in Appendix 2-B.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has authorized the Textiles Committee to issue Certificates of Origin under several Free Trade Agreements and Preferential Trade Agreements. This authorization includes agreements such as the Global System of Trade Preferences, Indo-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement, ASEAN-India Free Trade Agreement, and others. The Textiles Committee is now listed in Appendix 2-B of the Handbook of Procedure as a competent agency to issue these certificates, alongside existing agencies like the Export Inspection Council and the Marine Products Export Development Authority. This update affects 11 trade agreements, enhancing the Textiles Committee's role in trade facilitation.
