of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Maize Exports Now Eligible for Duty Credit Scrip under VKGUY, Appendix 37A Amended.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 37A of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE2008 under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. A new entry in Table 14 introduces VKGUY product code 14.3, covering maize with ITC HS code 1005, eligible for duty credit scrip on exports from April 1, 2008. Exports during the ban period under transitional arrangements are not eligible for VKGUY benefits. The date of export is determined as per Para 9.12 of HBPv1, and exports made under this provision qualify for VKGUY benefits. This amendment serves the public interest.
