of <h1>High Tech Products Export Promotion Scheme Updated: New Items Eligible for Benefits, Including SIM Cards & Solar Cells.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 37E of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 1, under the High Tech Products Export Promotion Scheme. Effective from April 1, 2008, new high-tech products have been added, including SIM cards, memory cards, cellular phones with advanced features, automatic bank note dispensers, ultrasonic scanning and MRI apparatus, still image video cameras, videophones, hybrid integrated circuits, and solar cells. These products are now eligible for benefits under the scheme, promoting their export. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
