of <h1>New ICES.v.1.5 Module Automates Finalization of Provisionally Assessed Bills of Entry, Streamlining Import Process for Brokers and Officers.</h1> A new module in the ICES.v.1.5 system has been introduced to streamline the finalization of Provisionally Assessed Bills of Entry (BEs), replacing the manual process. Importers and Customs Brokers must approach Group Officers for finalization, which is conducted by Assessing Officers and forwarded to Group DC/AC within the system. If duty liability increases, payment is processed through ICEGATE, and the duty paid message is integrated into ICES.v.1.5. For unchanged or reduced liabilities, Bond credit/closure can be approached directly. Finally Assessed BE copies are generated in two sets, and any issues should be reported to the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner (EDI).
