of <h1>India Amends Export Rules: Raw Sugar Import Under Advance Authorisation Now Has 6-Month Obligation Period, Pre-import Mandatory.</h1> The Government of India has issued an amendment to Appendix-4 J of the Handbook of Procedures 2015-20 under the Foreign Trade Policy. This amendment, effective immediately, specifies that the export obligation period for raw sugar imported under the Advance Authorisation scheme is now six months from the date of customs clearance for each consignment. Additionally, the pre-import condition is mandatory for the import of raw sugar under this scheme.
