of <h1>Government Directs Banks to Extend Hours on March 30-31 for FY 2014-15 Transactions.</h1> The Government of India requires that all government transactions with banks be completed within the financial year 2014-15. To facilitate this, all agency banks are instructed to keep designated branches open for a full day on March 30, 2015, and until 8:00 p.m. on March 31, 2015. Electronic transactions will continue until midnight on March 31, 2015. Banks are advised to publicize these arrangements. Additional guidelines for extended clearing sessions on these dates will be provided by the Department of Payment and Settlement Systems.
