of <h1>New Committee Formed to Enhance CSR Monitoring as per Section 135 of Companies Act, 2013; Report Due in Six Months.</h1> A High Level Committee has been established under the leadership of a former government secretary to propose strategies for better monitoring of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies as per Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. The committee includes members from academia, industry, and government. Its mandate is to recommend methodologies for compliance monitoring, suggest systematic evaluation measures, identify strategies for using expert agencies, and assess whether different monitoring mechanisms are needed for government companies. The committee is expected to submit its report within six months, with support from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.
