of <h1>CBDT Issues Deadline for EOI Requests on Time-Barring Cases: Submit by Feb 15 for March 31 Expiry.</h1> The circular addresses the issue of numerous last-minute requests for Exchange of Information (EOI) related to time-barring assessment cases received by the FT&TR Division. These requests are often inadequately prepared, necessitating revisions by field officers. To ensure timely processing and forwarding to the Foreign Competent Authority, the circular instructs concerned officers to submit all EOI requests for cases expiring on March 31, 2015, by February 15, 2015. Submissions after this date should occur only under unavoidable circumstances. The directive is issued with the approval of the Chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
