of <h1>India Updates Import/Export Rules for USA Crime Control & Regional Security Items; DGFT Authorization Required.</h1> India's import and export regulations for items under the Crime Control (CC) and Regional Security (RS) categories of the USA are outlined in this notice. The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) mandates that imports from the USA of items listed in Appendices 31(iia) and 31(iib) require specific documentation, including a Bill of Lading and a legal undertaking. Exports of these items from India require DGFT authorization. Transactions are limited to EDI-enabled ports in India and apply only to imports from the USA, as per an Indo-US bilateral agreement.
