of <h1>India Revises Interest Rate to 8.7% for Special Deposit Scheme Effective April 1, 2013.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, Government of India, revised the interest rate for deposits under the Special Deposit Scheme for Non-Government Provident, Superannuation, and Gratuity Funds. Effective April 1, 2013, the interest rate is set at 8.7% per annum. This change was communicated through a notification dated April 8, 2013, and relevant instructions were issued to all Deposit Offices. The notification is included as an annexure to the circular.
