of <h1>New RMS for Container Profiling at Nhava Sheva from Aug 29, 2008: IEC and Email Registration Required.</h1> The Risk Management System (RMS) for container profiling and scanning will be implemented from August 29, 2008, at Nhava Sheva. Shipping agents, container agents, and importers must include the Import Export Code (IEC) with the importer's name in the Import General Manifest (IGM) without special characters. Email addresses must be registered with the Indian Customs EDI system for notifications. Complete IGM details must be filed before vessel arrival, as per the Customs Act, with non-compliance resulting in penalties. Any implementation issues should be reported to the Additional Commissioner of Customs at the Container Scanning Division.
