of <h1>Deadline Extended for DFIA Revalidation Applications to September 30, 2008; Application Fee Waived; MODVAT/CENVAT Certificate Not Always Required.</h1> The public notice amends the original validity period for filing revalidation applications for Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA) as per Public Notice No. 44, extending the deadline to September 30, 2008, and waiving the application fee. Applications can be submitted with a request letter, original DFIA, and any amendment sheets. Additionally, it modifies the requirement for a MODVAT/CENVAT non-availment certificate, stating it is unnecessary for exports of non-dutiable products or if the advance license was issued under specific customs notifications requiring additional customs duty payment. These amendments are made in the public interest by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
