of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Amendment: SEZ Jurisdiction Changes for Multi-Product and Single-Product Units under Appendix 1.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Appendix 1 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. The amendment specifies that units located in multi-product Special Economic Zones (SEZs), except those listed in specific serial numbers, will fall under the jurisdiction of the respective Development Commissioners of the SEZs. For units in single-product SEZs, including IT/ITES SEZs, the issuance of Importer Exporter Code (IEC) will be managed by the respective Regional Authorities of the DGFT. This amendment is issued in the public interest.
