of <h1>Income Tax Return Deadline Extended to September 30 for Gujarat Due to Floods, per Section 119 of IT Act 1961.</h1> The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the due date for filing income tax returns for assessees in the State of Gujarat from 31st July 2006 to 30th September 2006. This decision, made under section 119 of the Income-tax Act, 1961, is in response to the severe flood situation in Gujarat.
