<h1>India Allocates 8,200 Metric Tons of Raw Sugar for US Export Under 2008 Tariff Rate Quota.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has allocated 8,200 metric tons of raw sugar from the 2007-2008 Free Sale Quota for export to the United States under the Tariff Rate Quota for the fiscal year 2008. This allocation is under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, and pertains to HS Code No. 1701 00 00. The Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Limited, based in New Delhi, is designated as the exporting agency. Existing procedures for preferential sugar export to the USA, including the issuance of GSP Certificates and other certifications, will remain in effect. This notice is issued in the public interest.
