of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: New Ports Added, Transfer Restrictions Revised in Handbook of Procedures, Paragraphs 4.19 and 4.5.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures, Volume I, under the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09. New ports have been added to the list of Seaports, Airports, Inland Container Depots (ICDs), and Land Customs Stations (LCSs) in paragraph 4.19 concerning 'Port of Registration.' Additionally, the second sentence in paragraph 4.5 has been revised to restrict certain transfers to units in specified areas covered by various Central Excise Notifications. These changes are issued in the public interest.
