This appointment aligns with the updated Central Excise Audit Manual, 2008, enhancing the audit process for Multi Locational Units (MLUs). The revised procedure authorizes zonal ADG(Audit) to review financial documents from company headquarters and understand the headquarters' role in individual unit operations. Officers may visit corporate offices for verification if audit teams identify issues. Field formations are to be informed accordingly.
