of <h1>DEPB Applicants No Longer Need to Submit EDI Shipping Bills to DGFT; Originals May Be Requested if Needed.</h1> Trade Notice No. 05/AM.08, issued by the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, informs that DEPB applicants are no longer required to submit the EP copy of EDI shipping bills to the DGFT offices, as these can be accessed directly from the server. However, the office reserves the right to request original shipping bills if necessary, especially if amendments have been made manually by Customs or discrepancies are noted. This notice does not apply to non-EDI shipping bills, for which original EP copies must still be submitted. The directive is effective immediately.
