of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Handbook Amended: DEPB Scheme Extended Indefinitely, Other Provisions Valid Until March 31, 2009.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the last sentence of paragraph 1.1 in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. The amendment specifies that the existing compilations will remain effective until March 31, 2009, with the exception of the Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) scheme, which will continue to be in operation until further notice. This amendment is issued in the public interest and is effective immediately.
