This clarification addresses queries about the applicability of these guidelines to sectors like Special Economic Zones, hotels, and hospitals. It confirms that the provisions of Press Note 2 (2005 Series) do not apply to Special Economic Zones, hotels, or hospitals. Hotels and hospitals will continue to be governed by previous guidelines, namely Press Note 4 (2001 Series) and Press Note 2 (2000 Series), while Special Economic Zones are regulated under the Special Economic Zone Act, 2005.
