It will also review customs trade facilitation measures, study international best practices, and evaluate cargo clearance times. DGEP is authorized to gather information from customs formations for policy-level issues but will not address individual grievances. Certain audit responsibilities previously under DGEP have been reassigned to the Directorate of Drawback.
