of <h1>DGFT Clarifies SCOMET Declarations Needed for Exports in Engineering, Chemicals, Plastics, and Electronics Product Groups.</h1> The Trade Notice No. 02/2006 issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) modifies a previous notice to clarify that declarations regarding SCOMET (Special Chemicals, Organisms, Materials, Equipment, and Technologies) items are required only for specific export product groups. These groups include Engineering (Product Group Code No. 61), Chemicals (Product Group Code No. 62), Plastics (Product Group Code No. 63), and Electronics (Product Group Code No. 83). Members of the trade are advised to comply with this updated requirement.
