of <h1>New DEPB Rates Announced for Engineering and Chemical Products; Brass and Roller Bearings Included in Update.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has announced amendments to the Handbook of Procedure (Vol.I), 2004-2009, specifically updating the Schedule of DEPB Rates. Effective immediately, new DEPB rates have been established for certain engineering and chemical products. For engineering products, brass cages for ball and roller bearings have a DEPB rate of 4, pressed ball bearing cages have a rate of 2, and pressed taper roller bearing cages have a rate of 5. For chemicals, Cefeclor has a DEPB rate of 4. These changes are made in the public interest.
