of <h1>Foreign Trade Policy Update: Intermediate Products Can Be Sent Abroad for Job Work Without Detailed Descriptions or Codes.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) for 2004-2009 under the Foreign Trade Policy. The amendments involve the insertion of clauses in Appendices 14-I-A and 14-I-E, allowing intermediate products to be taken abroad for job work as part of the production process. These changes specify that the description, quantity, and item code of such products are not required for service units. This public notice is issued in the interest of facilitating international trade processes.
