of <h1>Amendment to Foreign Trade Policy: Software Exporters Must Register with Respective Councils; Sixth Sub-Paragraph Deleted.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures, Volume 1, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The fourth sub-paragraph of Paragraph 3.12 now requires software exporters to register with the Electronic and Software Export Promotion Council, while exporters of 13 specific services must register with the Services Export Promotion Council. Other service exporters should register with the Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation. The sixth sub-paragraph of Paragraph 3.12 is deleted. Additionally, the Services Export Promotion Council is added to the list of Export Promotion Councils under Appendix-2, covering various service exports.
