of <h1>DGFT Updates TRQ Import Process: Apply by March 1st with Aayaat-Niryaat Form for Timely Quota Allocation.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has amended the procedure for importing items under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) as per the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. Eligible entities must apply for the quota using the Aayaat-Niryaat Form, submitting applications to the DGFT office by March 1st of the financial year preceding the quota year. The Exim Facilitation Committee (EFC) will evaluate applications and allocate quotas by March 31st of the preceding financial year. These changes aim to streamline the TRQ process and ensure timely quota allocation.
